1. Choose a shampoo that gives the hair lots of moisture

Dry hair requires moisture and therefore it is important that you choose a shampoo that does not wear on the hair or remove all the natural oils of the hair. Then replace your normal shampoo with a shampoo that provides plenty of moisture.

Do you have frizzy, curly, or colored hair?
Then you can try to skip the shampoo and use conditioner between hair washes. Use a neutral conditioner, spread it all over the hair, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then rinse with water – and voila! Your hair is clean and you can wait a couple of days with the shampoo.

Shampoo wears on the hair because the soap removes the hair’s natural oils (and they are good for the hair). If you have dry and worn hair, you should therefore wash your hair as little as possible. Some can just wash their hair once a week, while others do it twice a week. Try it out and notice how your own hair thrives the best.

Tip! Keep an eye on the ingredients in your shampoo. If alcohol is high on the list, you should change your shampoo as alcohol dries out your hair even more.

2. Never skip the conditioner

After washing your hair with shampoo, you have removed many of the hair’s natural oils. Therefore, it is important that you manage to bring the moisture back into your hair again – so you must never skip the conditioner after you have washed your hair with shampoo.

If you have very dry hair, you should choose a shampoo with lots of nourishing oils so that your hair gets the moisture it needs. If you have dry hair you can also leave the conditioner for a little longer than stated.

Make sure your hair is towel-dried and not drenched when spreading conditioner in the hair – otherwise the conditioner will not work as well as the product is diluted. Then spread a great amount of conditioner in the hair, and if you have time, you can put on a bag or bathing cap while doing other things in the bath. When rinsing out, you can leave some of the conditioner set and let it work its magic as a leave-in conditioner.

Tip!Make your conditioner even more moisturizing by mixing a little shea butter In. Shea butter can make even the most neutral conditioner provide plenty of moisture and nourishment to the hair.

3. Use hair treatment once a week

If you have dry, worn, and sad hair, never skip the hair treatment. A hair treatment is an intense nourishment for your dry hair and you should therefore use hair treatment once a week. A good hair treatment gives shine to a short period but if you use hair treatment regularly, you will also notice a clear difference in your hair, which will be stronger and healthier.

There are many different hair cures suitable for colored, frizzy, and worn hair, so you just have to find your favorite. But do yourself and your hair the favor of choosing a hair treatment that is as natural as possible without parabens, perfume, silicone, sulfate, and alcohol – your hair will be thankful!

Tip! The best hair treatment is the one you make yourself. How to make a homemade hair treatment for dry hair: Mix shea butter, honey, and argan oil and distribute it in damp hair. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse again – but remember to get shampoo in your hair before you get it wet. For extra care, distribute the hair treatment/hair mask in dry hair and leave it in overnight.

4. don’t use heat styling and remember oil in the tips

Once your hair is freshly washed, it can be tempting to use the hairdryer so your hair gets dry a little faster, or maybe flatten or curl it to get a little control over the locks of hair. But if you want healthy and shiny hair, keep your fingers away from anything called heat styling.

Let the hair air dry, and instead spread a little oil on the tips when the hair is still damp. It will help the hair to appear less frizzy and give glass. And

Finally, if you need to use heat styling for your hair, be sure to use a product that provides heat protection. Do not have a heat protectant spray? Shea butter is at least as good, more natural, and often much cheaper.
